PROPERTIES OF PERGLIDE® UHMW-PE FILMS

UHMW-PE films have many interesting properties such as:

  • excellent abrasion resistance and impact strength
  • non stick and self lubricating surface
  • excellent chemical resistance
  • water repellent (Hydrophobic)
  • excellent dielectric strength
  • stress crack resistant
  • low coefficient of friction
  • surface is easy to structure (e.g. grinding)
  • long service life without loss of function

Depending on the application we can modify the compound to improve the one or other property.

UHMW-PE is also available with certificates for food contact and according the FDA Regulations and according EU 102011
